Golden Legend is currently in Lizard Island on route to Darwin. Has auto pilot problem.
Auto system is a SIMRAD WP.30, needs drive belt or whole unit. Belt flat length is 41 cm, 10 mm wide and has 165 teeth. Apparently this auto pilot is no longer made. Information to me is second hand. Any assistance is welcomed. Tony

Thanks. The part has been source in the USA and being air freighted over here. Was a bit of panic there for a while. Owners of Golden Legend do not have any reception in Lizard apart from HF. So, searching over the internet was difficult. Lucky they have plenty of land friends to assist. Peace, Tony.

Hey Warren,
Greg and Kelly are traveling without any flying gear, just surfboards. Sounds a nice place to chill for a while!!!! I am still home at Stannie and here until July 14, then I fly up and meet them at Darwin. What are you up to??? Still around here or heading back up the coast.

Doin lots of aerotowing with Bill Moyes and now soloing the Dragonfly! Will be heading north next week with my Litespeed RS and North T2 on board.
Enjoy the sail when you get to Darwin.
Lizzard island is the best place on earth!

Ah ha, now you are letting the cat out of the bag. You been towing with Bill and heading north with a T2 wing. I can put 2 and 2 together. What are your plans??? OK, I will understand if this is a work in progress, but I have been doing tandems for 28 years.

Dont feel like im cuttin your grass Tony but im on my way to gettin my sport tandem licence and instead of buying a new floater im buying a Tandem that i can solo or just fly with a freind or whatever. No intention of going commercial which scares most flight instructors?!! some of the places up nth i cant fly the RS (like the Lizard) and there aint room onboard for 3 wings. Its good to have a boat with so much room for all the toys. Shame your not sailing the Nth Qld coast, the flying potential is huge!

Nah, don't think that I am worried. Last thing on my mind. Also, I am not one of the scared ones. Rather see more operators (australia wide) and the area where you are has good trades for 6 months and (there are) plenty of opportunities up that way commercially without treading on any toes. I was up that before the current idiot in Cairns was. Nice area, but the "Rex" is too limited. After flying for 31 years of hanggliding, doing everything from comps to tours, I am after some fun and a sailing/surfing/kitesurfing journey through Indonesia for 3 months sure sounds fine to me.

Hey Tony,
May i suggest to you that you [THINK] before you refer to people as idiots on a national forum, especially when you are involved in the same industry.I think it's called slander.
Unfortunately i heared this accusation from some one else who alerted me.
Maybe you would like to retract the comment before it gets out of hand ?
