I recently added a Raymarine Smart Controller, which is to say, an autopilot remote control, to Arriba's list of gadgets. Although it's a bit pricey, I have to say, I'm pretty hooked on the device.

I paid US $570 from West Marine. Fortunately I already had the SeaTalk-to-SeaTalkNG converter, but if you need that, that's an extra US $95.

There are definitely cheaper 3rd-party products, but I wanted to stay with Raymarine. It's also worth noting that the Raymarine product is more than just a remote control for the autopilot; it also lets you monitor pretty much everything on the SeaTalk network.
