QBD Morayfield today I bought a 9th edition Beacon to beacon for $9.99! Asked if they had anymore he said he had two more somewhere (out the back) and Oh! Chermside had "Quite a few" Would suggest calling first to verify. Seems they can check the status of other stores. Probably your last chance to get a new one especially at this price.
I have no affiliation with qbd or the publishers but know this is a popular bit of gear.

Beacon to Beacon was previously sold in hard-copy but now content is available for free download.

Still nice to have a hard copy version.

It is a strange move for a government to make, to make something available for free that they had previously charged for. Although now everyone can have it and it doesn't cost anything to have it on their site.

So they bl@@dy should. Us tax payers probably paid for a lot of it. What a great download!

I still like to get things like this and the tide tables in hard copy.

There are enough problems with internet accessibility on land let alone at sea.

Yes I know it can be printed out etc but for a print out to be any good it needs to be laminated and then the cost goes through the roof.

Cost wouldn't be that bad if you only print and cover the particular pages you require, there is no need to have the expensive laminating done if you do it yourself using clear contact type material. I have done many maps like this and you can write on them with a chinagraph pencil and rub them clean when needed.

The other option is to print on permanent paper, totally waterproof, tearproof and resists dirt and grease.
