i'm about to order a Speedy Stitcher for doing sail and dodger repairs.
i have been searching on the interwebs but so far haven't been able to work out whether i need the fine and/or coarse threads.
does anyone here use one of these?
I have two of them and wouldn't be without them, they are brilliant at what they do. Sometimes you may need another person to help if the piece of material you are working is big and you need another person to either do the sewing from one side and the lacing on the other side. You can sew something without having to dismantle everything as you would need to if using a machine, you can do straight or zig zag stitch. Having different size needles and thread is a definite advantage.
they are unreal. ive got a handy stitcher hand stitcher. not sure if its the same but ive used it on my sails, leather panniers on motorbike, rope bags on boat... itll fix anything and makes a really strong stitch. must have on the boat.
