Solo sailor Bob Williams on his yacht Sylph (1960's Alan Payne 41' steel sloop) run down by a freighter while sailing from Korea to Japan. He and his cat Robinson Crusoe survive, manage to get to port but with significant damage.

Bob's kept his blog running for some years now and he writes beautifully. An ex RAN officer and he's been solo sailing the oceans of the world for some time in Sylph. Hopefully he can get her repaired. He was on his way to Alaska for the northern summer. Here's an entry from a couple of years ago showing old photos of Sylph when she was being launched in Sydney.
