Sad to see superb boats like this. One for the pensioners.http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/bayview/sail-boats/33ft-brolga-yacht/1048412208
I would love that boat. I couldn't afford to buy a good one.....but I could afford twice the cost of a good one spread over five years as I do it up. ( if that makes sense)

Makes perfect sense to me Brizzy and you end up with it how you want it in the end
I sent a text to my mate when I first saw the add. I happened to mention there was more than two tonnes of lead in the keel. He rang back and wanted details of how to strip her down. I checked lead prices and there is a lot of work to get to to four grands worth of lead. It would be a shame to see this boat get scrapped. They are one of the best yachts about and I'm tempted to buy her myself but I have enough projects going now to keep me going till I peg out. Even tried to get one of my sons to buy her. In this size vessel my choices would be Kalik 33, then a toss up between an SS34 and Brolga! This is an exceptional buy!
