Read a earlier thread on where to get your Bukh parts "Cisco"> dont try to sell be a Kubota Ha ha
Mainly to service the beast and a new cooling impeler .Has any one any conversion part numbers for filters eg ryco part numbers?
Thinking of making a hydraulic hose to fit the sump to make it a lot easier to drain the oil out of the old girl any one done this on a Bukh DV20 ?
I have a ryco on my dv20.. ill look tomorrow and let you know. also ill have a look at the johnsone impeller model number as well.

I did find an earlier thread with a Ryco filter number
Ill find it again and put it up Id like to find it soon as Ill drive down there and service the old girl and pout vinegar into the cooling system start cleaning her out

Also some one told me Ken actual Bubble when you check the gear box oil level remove the breather first as the gear box suffers form a vacuum and if you don't remove the breath pre checking the gear oil level it gives a false reading and telsl you to put some oil in with a result of a over filled gear box
ryco fuel filter Ryco R2042P engine oil filter Ryco Z418
Which brings me to the filters: The first fuel filter after the tank on Harbinger is the standard CAV 296 filter with glass bowl and drain plug on the bottom. I check the glass bowl regularly and to date have been fortunate enough to have never found traces of water. The nylon plug for draining the bowl can shear, and I keep a spare plug on board. The Ryco filter number is R2132P.

I also buy Ryco filters for the engine oil and fuel filters - about half the price of Bukh filters. The engine oil filter number is Z418 and the fuel filter I use is Ryco R2042P. The engine fuel filter is not listed as an equivalent by Ryco, but it fits (Ryco don't include a new housing seal ring). I change the engine oil and CAV filters annually and the engine mounted fuel filter bi-annually.
Yes!!
The same people also sell Beta marinised Kubotas.
www.betadiesel.com.au/
There is a message somewhere in that.

how many days are you planning on letting the vinager sit in the engine. I did mine on Friday and I was planning on leaving it for a week before I give it a fresh water flush

Chemical reactions do not take long to happen. Put some sodium bicarbonate (Baking Powder) in a cup, add vinegar and see how long that reaction takes, like a nano second.
Flush you engine three times in three days and it should be clean as a whistle.
Was going to flush it when I go down next weekend when I service the engine hopefully its has not dissolved by then and find it in the bilge Id have to buy a "Kuboooooota" then Cisco

Same here Bubble might even do it again next week.
My water pump shaft has a slot in it so removing and replacing the water pump impeller was a breeze just had to hold the sharft in while removing the old one took 5 mins and done BET YOU CANT DO THAT WITH A "KOOOOBTA" CISCO ![]()
