Mate, I just joined this forum a few days ago.
Started off having a laugh as Len's posting frenzy got out of hand.
Now you're doing it. Bit of a waste of bandwidth.
I know it's fun fishing when you get a bite every 5 seconds, but maybe enough is enough?
Proved your point?
Len: I know you'll be reading this.
Get some sailing lessons, build up some practical knowledge, get a small boat to get hands-on experience.
When you make your millions, charter a plane to get to Fiji.
(And grow up FFS!)
Having said that, I just learned a great way to set up a simple on-board shower from one of your NEW THREADS.
Thanks Cisco!
Welcome OldFart. Welcome.
I think his intention (and outcome) was something other than proving a point but it's probably best to just let it slide at this stage.
Where are you located, Bud?
Thanks Doc.
I'm in Airlie Beach, which used to be a paradise.
10 years of incompetent/corrupt local government plus rapacious development have screwed the place.
Still a great sailing area though.
Hmm...thats funny. No posts actually related to anything practical. But lots about bullsh!t topics in open conversation. And he pops up with having a go at southace? I got my suspicions here.

I don't have a boat, OPBs are the only sailing I get to do, and not very often as I don't like racing. So I don't have anything practical to contribute.
I enjoy participating in BS topics, good for a laugh.
I was not having a go at Southace, I've learned quite a few useful things from people's replies to his page of posts. Just seems pointless giving CementFijiBoy the platform to shout a bit more.
Suspicions? Yes I have too much time on my hands, yes forums like this are cheap entertainment for a broke old fart.
Forgot to add: I'm not much of a sailor.
Only offshore passage was crewing on a delivery from Durban to Cape Town in the 70's on a Piver tri, about 1800 nm non-stop with some terrifying weather on the way. Briefly co-owned a 27' Wharram, which didn't end well. The last 3 decades, daysailing/weekends on OPBs.
Between 1974-77 I did around 40-45,000 nm as a cook/cook's assistant on cargo ships, the Atlantic run from Cape Town to Southampton and Rotterdam. Many of these were old tubs on their last runs before going to Taiwan for scrap, crewed by the dregs and rejects. Lots of great stories.
So I'm no expert, but I love being at sea.
Are you going to buy some land in fiji too? :P
I can barely pay my mortgage here!
Do they have any good weed in Fiji?

My intention was to come here and have a decent conversation about yachts.

You're telling the wrong person to grow up, quite frankly.
