Got my first barra tonight .....should be at the Cape at around 1900 hrs (tue) not many yachties around this time of year!

Telstra is the way to go but my navonics on ipad also dropped the top end charts...lucky we had the open cpn as back up or else we would have had to gone to paper charts!! One small cruising ketch passed at 1500hrs also heading north kinda junk style hull.

Weather map on the TV news showed cloud in the S.E. corner of the gulf that looked a bit nasty. Otherwise fairly clear skys and no steep pressure gradients.

Check B.O.M. for latest synoptic barometric maps.

Just had a look and nothing dramatic up there for the next 4 days.
