Cleaning dacron sails

Any Tips on cleaning a dacron headsail, Small rust stains, Anchor chain mud stains and general dirtiness. Normal cleaning agents not having much effect.

I have never had much luck as some products can adversely affect the dacron, best to use warm soapy water.

best thing that I have had success with for mud and light stains is good old liquid OMO and a scrubbing brush. For the rust stains the best their might be is a citrus cleaner, nothing will ever get rid of them but will make them less obvious.

I check Stain Removal Chart, there are two suggestions:
1/ 1:1 wool detergent and white vinegar mix with water,
2/ turpentine. Going to try myself.
