hi
we are interested in a 1985 Cole 31, does anyone know any specifics about this particular model of boat. I know Peter Cole designs were well respected. I know it is similar to the Eastcoast 31 but that's about it.
Agree with Ramona. I reckon looking at it that it will bevirtually the same as the Nantucket 31. We know of one guy who bought hos own hull after ours was built and fitted his boat out himself. If the v berth was too small in the Nantucket it is likely this will be the same. Maybe if ypu can afford it look at a Pawtucket?
As a 31 footer that yacht has a lot going for it by way of interior accommodation.
Looks like a nice double berth under the cockpit. (probably a better thing than an overly large fwd cabin).
Photos of the fwd cabin are noticeable by their absence.
Adams 31s of the same vintage are about similarly priced.
I think you are looking in the right ballpark for a fast , roomy pocket cruiser that could be taken to the nearer offshore islands (Norfolk, Lord Howe, N.Z. and beyond) if set up correctly and managed astutely.
Keep 'em coming if you are keen sailor.![]()
