When I purchased my yacht I replaced the cabin sole with new marine ply....the bilge area between the forward bilge floors was full of leadshot and resin I tried to remove it but failed. So I decided to dam it with epoxy and screw a 10mm aluminium plate across the top to support my compression post......turns out now that the aluminium plate is rising taking with it my cabin sole and making things not so flush.....seems water has got in from a leaking deck fitting and now things are growing...what a nightmare..... Any suggestions ?

We can possibly all suggest, postulate and even maybe speculate, but eventually the only thing that is going to work is to actually do the hard work and have a look, poke and dig around to see what is actually happening down there.

I know I know! I'm watching it grow... I know what needs to be done but that's going to cost $$$
