Crossing Bass Strait

Hi everyone,
Need some advise when best month to cross Bass Strait on the way down to Hobart. I am sailing a Bavaria 32 and planning for early Dec at this stage. Thanks, Johannes

You can sail anytime. After LOW passes, take off. Plenty nice hiding places.

Don't forget in spring and early summer, the LOW and HIGH are a few days apart
You plan short jumps with sheltered anchorages.

End of summer Low and High is nearly 2 weeks apart.

Just watch for low, they can by nasty.
You have excellent boat, needs a bit of wind to perform,
I took T / S there and pick weather carefully, had to run engine nearly 20 hours.
You don't wont that....

On the tophat yacht site a compass 28 wrote up his trip all through Bass Straight.
