G'day, I've just picked up an S80. She's fitted out inside with a few bits and pieces for cruising. Just looking for a few tips to make it a bit more comfortable over longer trips. (3-7 days).
Anyone have any good ideas for shade and where to get good cushions ect?

If you don't want to use it for championship races then swap the primary winches for self tailing. If you want to make life real easy put a inboard motor in as well.
For shade you can just make a boom tent but it is a little bit on the low side.

thanks guys, SandS i used to race in dampier and there were a few S80's up there that i crewed on a few times too. Yeh they are a nice fast boat, so when i saw this one with a few bits and pieces inside to make her a bit more comfortable it was an easy choice. Davage, i originally thought about a boom tent, but like you say its a bit on the low side. I've been looking at the Shade Tree setups online but thought it would be good to chat to someone who had one, before splashing out with all that cash.

You know the way it is with yachts. The sign at every slipway, No Cash, No Splash.

Hahaha yep heard that one plenty of times.
Just hate buyin stuff twice, I read the big long post regarding moorings that you referred someone else to. How did you go in the end, is yours finished?
