Hi. We got some great advice on here re our recently completed sail from Townsville to Darwin.
We are heading off on the next leg in September to get the boat from Darwin to Perth.
Weve done the trip many years ago but in the opposite direction. Am a bit nervous about the winds at that time of year.
Any thoughts on itinerary for 6 weeks as well as any other input would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Eventide
I'm in TI at the moment for a few days (along with 70 other yachts on a rally to Indo). I am on my way to Perth so will let you know how it goes although you will be leaving Darwin before I get to Perth. I have until end of October.
We may cross paths Toph. We leave Darwin around the 11th.
I'm sure we will. I would likely be around Broome by then. I'll be on a blue Benetaeu sporting the Seabreeze burgee (if these damn FNQ winds don't shred it by then). Let me know when you leave Darwin.
Im about to send you a PM re the gulf crossing.
Best try not leave it too late. We got smashed coming down from Exmouth in October with relentless SWers. 25-30 plus every day.

Arrghhh this is my concern.
The dilemmas of working within time constraints..

Sounds like youve got your timing right. We unfortunately are working around work and school.
Will message shortly re the Gulf. We went down the East side of the Gulf before crossing so that the seas were more on our aft quarter and waited for light winds.
Cheers
