The deck organizer sheaves in my circa 1987 Spacesailer 27 have succumbed to the ravages of UV.
I've removed the fitting and naturally there is no brand on it. Possibly the sheaves are not original.
I've looked online at Ronstan et al but cannot find a match for the sheaves as yet.
The size is ID 11mm, OD 48mm and width 19mm, with the exception of the ID I thing the other sizes are flexible to some extent.
maybe someone knows what brand they are that I can follow up. Ronstan do have 11mm ID but with 60 OD, they may have to do!
I could fit new organizers but was trying to avoid drilling more holes if I can as I dare say new ones won't match the existing mounting holes.

It's annoying how these sorts of spares are no longer readily available. I need a few myself. I think the only guaranteed way to get exact replicas is to buy some Delrin rod and turn up a few on a lathe.
These are old Ronstan ones and it looks like they no longer make. The biggest issue is any replacement they now do is not wide (width of sheave standing up) enough and the rope can run off the sheave.
What is the hole spacings between sheaves? Might be worth looking at new ones?
Alternately contact Allyacht spars and they can make you new sheaves, probably about $20 each!!!

Thanks for the input and you have confirmed my suspicions and its about what I expected.
I'll look at new ones and see how I go and I may try a the one Ronstan sheave that will fit but is much bigger in diameter.
If all else fails I'll either have to fit and drill more holes or have some sheaves made.

Can't you buy all sorts of rod to feed into them .... Some one said they had carbon reels of material ..would that be any good ?

I think you are referring to the Ronstan ID 11.4, OD 60, x 19width. These may fit and may have to do though they would stick out each side by 5mm. This may not matter and if I pursue this further I'll have a fiddle with it make sure nothing is going to jam etc. Leaning towards getting new ones as ideally I need to run another line and with new I could get a 4 and stack a 2 on top and have a spare. Anyway exploring options and thanks for your interest.
I bought the black ronstan ones. They look smart and work well. $58 for double sheave. Come to think of it it could be hard to get the wheels to work as youd need some kinda clevis pin that suits
Get a machinist to spin them up in a lathe out of suitable material in less than 10 mins.,,, easy job

Good to hear they are working for you. My original ones were mounted at a slight angle using a wedge shaped piece of teak underneath to improve the entry angle for the ropes coming off the mast blocks. That's ok but unless there is a matching wedge under the nuts it tends to bend the bolts. I guess most people don't worry about it but I think I'll use a flat bar spacer which will achieve the same thing, provided it doesn't have to be too high. Need to have a good look at the line angles, nothing is ever easy! The Ronstan wheels would work with what I've got except they are a bit narrow and smaller line can and does get stuck down the side of sheaves as happens on the Beneteau F35 I crew on. FYI I had a look today and it uses two stacks of 3 Spinlocks on a raised section of cabin roof to better match the line entry angle.

Yeah dmarco, had the same ones on my boat. It's not just the shelves but also the small inserts that the bolts pass though that need replacing. Ended up buying new sheaves and mounting them on a bit of teak to cover up the original holes and then put polished S/Steel (home made) backing plates inside to cover the holes there as well.
I did a lot of looking to see if there was another manufactured that had sheaves with the same hole centres but no luck.
The Ronstan sheaves are available, it's just hard to find someone that will sell them in Australia. They can be bought from NZ and some sites in the USA.
