I did but when I upgraded I gave it to Geoff Raebel from the Compass 28 yacht forum.

A mate of mine has one in a boat he has had in his yard for a while and he has been winding it over by hand occasionally but now he is ready to launch the boat it wont spin at all
The other strange thing is when he puts the gearbox in gear with the motor locked up he can still spin the prop
Any thoughts ?

Hydraulic gear box? My old Newage gear box the prop would spin while sailing in gear.

I had a look at the internals othe box in a parts listing and it just looks like a simple box with cone engagement for fwd and rev

Iv got the 2 cylinder 13hp engine in my duncanson 26.
A bit cranky to start sometimes but it just keeps going.
Geoff Raebel is the man. The engines are still made in Italy but the rep setup for Aust is rather messy. Geoff has a long association and lots of knowledge.

I actually emailed the UK last night and was emailed the parts and workshop manuals so at least we will know what makes it tick
