Hi all
A mate of mine has his house for sale here in Port Huon if anyone is interested in making the move

It is a great place to live and sail

Hello Don
at this time of year, every year since I first visited Tassie in 1990, it has become my constant refrain, "I'm moving to Tasmania one day". Until my daughters finish high school, I'm tied here. They both want to pursue careers in classical music, so maybe they'll come with me and study down there or in Melbourne?
I like seeing the photos you post of the sailing down there. Looks nice and cool
. Apparently my Folkboat was in Tasmania at one stage, so it would be like going home for her. Previous to Aria, her names were Ripple and Heather II. Ring any bells??
One day
Wishing you the best for the holiday season and 2016
Kind regards
Tracey
I'm moving there when I'm done with this silly work business :).
Meg You will probably get offered a well paid job up north instead
Myself and a couple of others nearly bought a pub on the west coast that was not being used back in the early 70s also was tempted on a beach block 5 acres at $4000 should have bought it

The rates on that water front acreage are probably $4000/year these days LOL

Hi Tracey

The way I'm traveling HG, I'm looking at a relatively well paid job NSW coast and there's nothing wrong with that for awhile. ...santa just brought me a SUP and I'll be living in the land of sailing, windsurfing and SUP :) :), until I retire to Tassie that is or win lotto in which case I'll buy a cattery in Tassie :)
I was going through the final stages buying land/house on 5 acres in 2003 for 80k in eaglhak neck tasman peninsular and it fell through...oh well!

Hi Steve
I think the days of dirt cheap (compared to the mainland) property is over but the good thing about Tassie is there is a lot of waterfront property or property with good water views that is still reasonably priced compared to mainland prices
