Looking at buying an Epirb, Got a 4m dinghy and we stick in fairly calm water close in.
Would also want to be able to be used on land for occosional 4WD adventure!
Can any one offer advice on various brands also the pros and cons of PBLs and Epirbs

PBL's are not recognized by authorities for general marine use.
Keep a look out for specials at Whitworths and other major chandleries.
406 type works everywhere I am told.
