Hi all

I found the perfect RIB at a great price and bought it from Mandurah. Problem is, the freight cost skyrocketed when the proper measurements came in. It's 2150mm x 1300mm x 600mm and 40kg, on a pallet.

The vendor is a boat broker so I assume they've got a good deal, but does anyone know any way to get it across the Continent for less then $700? I've tried Freight It and am still waiting for a price on the newer and larger dimensions.

Cheers

Try some of the bigger removalist companies. If you can get it to their depot and aren't fussed on time, they often cheaply add stuff to a container as a shared load when something becomes available.

Hmm. Interesting idea but I'll have to get it shipped to the depot separately. I'll give it a try. Thanks for the tip.

If I was at home Im close enough and would've gone to Mandurah and taken it to a depot for you. FreeRadical is too far north, but maybe there is a Seabreezer that could help you out..

Also look for back loads. Heaps leaving the West.

Try Truckit.net I have used them a few times , truck companies and smaller operators bid on the job,
if you go with them get a couple quotes then wait a few days, and usually cheaper quotes will come in

Give Schapelle a call,
I hear she is looking for extra work on the side and she knows all the loop holes of transporting goods

It will not fit in a boogy board bag, also it may get confiscated by the police if couriered with her
