Hi All

I have a Eutechtic fridge and lately its started "ticking" when I've switched it on. On closer inspection I can see the clutch is slipping, then grabbing thus making attacking sound. This seems to happen when the engine is at higher revs and mostly the noise won't happen at idle.
Any idea's what the cause could be?

Thanks

Capt Mindy Get that Colombo off the settee and give Venon some information please

www.google.com.au/search?q=Eutectic+fridge+wiring+diagram&es_sm=93&biw=2560&bih=955&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0CB8QsARqFQoTCKPdsrT7jscCFWYZpgod0VwBaw#imgdii=MZh-98ukJkWjjM%3A%3BMZh-98ukJkWjjM%3A%3BVQDIccKLpQn78M%3A&imgrc=MZh-98ukJkWjjM%3A

this link has many wiring diagrams for Eutectic fridge systems
Wondering when it was last gassed up
also check the wire going to the clutch make sure it is connected properly some time they have a wire joiner close the clutch which may give trouble
Also when a compressor is low on gas the DX valve can switch the compressor off perhaps this may have a bad connection.

Im only taking general air conditioning system which is basically the same thing but my money would be on low gas
most larger companies gas the systems every 12 months topping them up
