I think I could spend $549AUD on something more useful. Or if you really must have it then Amazon are charging only $449.99US. (no prick tax in the US like here)

I downloaded the user manual and had a read of it and i dont think i would use a lot of the functions

Does it matter. For most of us it will be of little use with out wearing reading glasses. Virtual starting line on a screen the same size as a watch! Look over the side at the real one.

I have a brilliant diving watch with all the functions I use for dinghy racing. $12 off ebay. Its great but a few spots of spray on the face make it hard to read with out glasses.
For your yacht go straight to the computer/ 22 inch led Lcd screen nav set up for less money.
