Hello ,have recently purchased a South Coast 36. Have started pulling off the old carpet that lines various parts of the hull with the intention of glueing on some new lining. My query is wether I can glue over the hardened old glue still stuck to the hull or just course sandpaper it or must it be removed(a filthy job). Thanks.

I'd give it a scrape or wire brush to get rid of any flakey bits then a quick rough up with say 40 grit paper. Then a wipe over with some wax & grease remover and the new stuff will stick like poo to a blanket

Bunnings have a gel as well as the liquid kiwi grip If you run into difficulty in hard spots
