Hi people.
I was hoping someone can help me out with Google Earth.
I have finally got it to display my GPS location, but it always auto zooms in to my location to a level which is useless ie: way too much.
Each time I zoom out to display more of my location, it auto zooms in again - really annoying!
Can anyone help?
Im on version 7.1.5 on a mac and one way is to add a marker at the location. A small windo opens for you to name etc and in there are the co ords. Write them down and delete the marker if u want.
No idea re the Google thingo, but we did pass off Wangi Wangi this afternoon, when we were heading back to the Southern end of the lake.
That boat of yours is looking good!
Enjoy the lake.
Are you using a tablet? I've found that zoom in and out is unstable if you do the fingers closer or apart on the screen, but works ok if you use the +\- buttons on the screen...

Cheers LMY, out of all the sails I see on the water, I often wonder if they belong to a Sea Breezer!

Bushdog,
I'm using windows 8 on a laptop.
I tried what Guitz suggested, but still not having any luck.
I've tried Googling for help, but I can't find anything that relates exactly to my problem.
GE sees my position (from my USB GPS) and auto zooms in on it - waaay too much to be of any use to me even if I'm only a couple of Nm off the coast. I zoom out and it auto zooms back in again.
