Harwood bridge heads up

ive just been notified that the Harwood bridge on the Clarence river will not be opening from the 28th of April to the 9th of June for maintanence

they didn't give you much notice to find another place to moor your boat during that time, or is there another way to get out of the river.

It happens every couple of years. There's plenty of river below the bridge, I'd recon most cruisers wouldn't bother going that far up river, as Yamba and Iluka have all that is needed

There are many cruisers that go right up to Grafton. I put a notice on Australian Liveaboards and Women Who Sail Australia pages on facebook. It has been short notice and I only found out from yachties that pulled up where I am. I couldn't find anything on any website about it so I rang the bridge guy to confirm. Was about to post on here and found it was already done.

No other way out of the river, and bridge is too low for the average yacht without being lifted.
