Hi guys,

I have had a trip from Wirrina Cove SA to Batemans Bay planned for a while now, unfortunately one of my crew has had to pull out and I am now looking for someone to help me and my mate on the trip.

I know it's short notice, but is there anyone with a reasonable amount of experience interested? I intend to leave this Saturday, 5th March. Hoping to get there in about 10 days, will motor if winds are against us and prefer to 24hr sail unless weather too bad or seasickness or need a rest etc.
Good 42ft Adams, all the latest electronics etc.

I will pay for flights and food etc.

Please ring or text 0400566649.

Cheers!

Well we made it to Batemans Bay and in good time!
We left Saturday 5th at lunchtime and anchored outside the bar at BB at daybreak waiting for the high tide on Monday 14th.

Southace helped me out by making up the 3rd crew member and taught me a fair bit - he knows his stuff!
Thanks Spiggie for offering advice on an area you work in and know very well - Bass Strait and Vic coast in general.

My wife and I now have plans to work our way up the east coast to Hervey Bay - which we are going to make our new home!

If I may jump in as well, by all means give me a 'hoy' should you want to stop at Wollongong Harbour on the way up.

Can supply you a dingy, shower and maybe, just maybe a beer!

Hah! I'm quoting my own message.
We have arrived in Hervey Bay!

Since leaving Wirrina Cove on 1st week of March, we have sailed just over 2000nm and enjoyed every moment of it!
We are now planning to have a rest from yachting for about a month and explore Fraser Island and this part of the coast by 4wd and camper trailer.
Then come early July, we are off to Whitsundays, the Shaggers reunion in late August and Magnetic Island.

Thanks to everyone here who has given me advice since buying Now&Zen last October.

Cheers!
