Hi all
We're currently sailing up the Qld coast (at Airlie atm) and I'm wondering if anyone knows the current status of Hinchinbrook Marina. I know it copped a real pounding from more than one cyclone in the last year or two. Its website says currently closed, but 2014 Google Maps would suggest something's still active there. We'd be looking for water and reprovisioning, maybe fuel.
If not the marina, is it possible to anchor off and dinghy in for supplies?
Tks for any info.

This is all the info I could find . Looks like its closed
Easiest fuel is Townsville Breakwater Marina and , on a calm day , anchor off Mission Beach and walk 2 blocks to Woolworths. Also Cardwell jetty and walk 2 blocks north to small supermarket.
Thanks for the feedback, guys. We spoke to Cardwell VMR and they say there's nothing there (ie no boats, marina office closed), however there is apparently still a public wharf / pontoon that is accessible. We've got Mourilyan Harbour as a fallback so not sure whether we'll try Hinchinbrook. I'll post an update if we do have a look.
