It is a few years ago.
A few months sailing my new old boat "Sweet Chariot", on my own.
Get to know and be comfortable before I take my missus.

Day "D", is here, forecast, better for fishing not sailing.
The Gulf /SA/, is one shiny mirror.
Run the engine extra few miles, kill the engine and hoist all sails.
Flapping sails, goes on and on. Made coffee, watching jellyfish from cockpit.
No annex, heat, sun reflect from dead flat liquid, get to your nerves.
This is not right, jellies passing cockpit towards the bow,. Ridiculous.
Drop sails, and wait, at least not going backwards.
Afternoon sea breeze, now finally pick up 2 knots.
Missus figure out, storm is here, took a few seasickness tablets.
The rest of the sailing back, she sleeping in cockpit .
Well, that was last time, she was sailing with me.

The kids f:ck me off sometimes but it's probably the frame of mind I'm in.

Missus stays home and manages our office, kids have the best life ever...but I gotta work my ass off and carry it all. I dream of boating while I have my arm up your toilet. I'll pull my head in now.

Would be good if there was a woman that actually liked boats and the ocean and then had kids that did too. But that is too much to ask :P Solo sailing may be antisocial and potentially dangerous but its better than nothing :P

I know....sorry. Just having my period this week. I'm surrounded by girls and im becoming one ...(not a bad thing, my girls are good) Was a wild post that one. Few beers happening then. Think I'm going to ease off posting here for a while and just enjoy the info. Got lots of sailing to do this week each arvo while the tides are high. Kirk out.

SWMBO found the trip from Kogarah Bay to Burraneer Bay boring and it was her first trip outside. I think if we had seen a whale or a few dolphins it might have sparked her interest a bit more.
