Hi all, totally fresh here, hoping someone can help me?
Am fitting Sunbrella "chaps " to our inflatable but need advice on fixing velcro strips to hypalon tubes, am thinking sewing velcro to hypalon strips and gluing to tubes.
Anyone had experience with this method ?
Not interested in drawstring type fitment
Thanks in advance
Steve

Hi Bob

i had had a hypalon Achilles and that is exactly what I had done by the inflatable and life raft repair people in cairns and it worked well

The soft was on the boat and the hard was on the stuff I wanted to stick to the boat

i used the velcro to hold 2 ply seats across the top of the tubes to use it as a fishing boat

The he other thing I had done was extra hypalon glued over the original on areas where rubbing would occur such as under the rear of the tubes where I used to drag it out of the water up the beach

Regards Don
