Hi Seabreezers

the ad is not live on Seabreeze yet, however, just wanted to announce my little boat is for sale - regretfully and urgently.

If you - or anyone you know - may be interested, PM me.

Kind regards
Trace

Sell something else, not your boat!

Thanks Trek and Andy...and those good souls who have sent me PMs.

Unfortunately, times are dire and I really do have no choice. It's either sell the boat or sell the kids. Hhhmmm....outspoken teenagers...they would be returned for refund directly haha.

To clarify to one party on this Forum, no, I DO NOT have an interest in another 26ft boat. Just clarifying for my own conscience.

Kind regards
Trace

In my best John Belushi voice from the restaurant scene in 'The Blues Brothers" ... "The women, how much do you want for the women. I will buy your women from you, how much for your wife."

I agree with Andy, sad to hear. However you are in charge of your own life and you have to make
decisions based on circumstances.
When you drop the boat I guess you will drop the forum too, and we will miss you.
Your children are the most important thing but I pray your life takes a turn for the positive very shortly
and your circumstances improve dramatically.

Is the ad up?

My son is Brisbane based and may be interested.

And I'm sure visiting and sailing rights could be negotiated if it helps?

He travels o.s extensively

If I still have Aria, I'll do the Gaffers. Be interesting to match race Tern if Glen turns up.

Thanks McN and Sam, kind of lost my mojo right at the moment. Intimidation and belittling by a caveman on board another boat a few weeks ago who I suspect doesn't believe women have a place on board in heavy weather (or perhaps even fair weather) has left me disappointed and questioning. I'm hoping this too shall pass.

Finally, to ChopesBro, although I may be eager for a quick sale in order to get out of the straits I find myself in, I will be discerning in regard to who I hand stewardship of Aria onto. She has a soul.

Hang in there Selkie.
Having to sell for financial reasons or prioritizing the kids is regrettable but understandable.
Please don't let some ignorant a$$hole intimidate you into giving up your pastime.

you could think about selling a half share maybe Selkie sell half and keep sailing , still giving you a toe in the water
it would not only help your purse but reduce your running cost for the boat per year till you get o your feet again

Thanks Hg, I'm not good at sharing my toys unfortunately. Plus I need what little money I can get for her in total.

It's regretful and sad, however, I'm not resentful about having to sell Aria. It's simply a matter of keeping my daughter's dreams alive. Whenever the eldest plays her cello or the youngest sings a Baroque aria, I know what I am doing is right.
I am doing everything in my power to give them everything they need in their lives. As a close little unit, we're very adept at discerning between need and want. They NEED this money to sustain their music tuition and propel them into tertiary studies at the Conservatorium. No luxury, no poshness, just their passion and their vocational calling.
