To see the best of Kangaroo Island by water would take several weeks - and a lifetime to really get to know. However seven of my workmates made a serious effort last weekend, sailing 188 nautical miles in 4 days, but still stopping frequently with ample time for beach bonfires and cappuccinos. I've found that the trick is to start at Wirrina and sail as far west as you can on your first day (weather allowing).

We will be doing this in a few weeks time. Aiming to get to Snug. Hopefully there will still be some tuna around

Tuna are being caught in Backstairs Passage (although we missed out). The South Coast is of course always better for tuna. A friend just caught several approx. 2 miles S/SW of the Cape Willoughby lighthouse.

Nice photo's scruzin.

just got back from a KI trip as well. Two Canadian school mates and I cruised the north coast to Snug Cove, then up past Wedge Island to Thistle Island and Port Lincoln. Caught up with Southace and his cat. We came home along the south coast of the Yorke Peninsula and getting home on Friday. A great trip. There were a few tuna around between Snug Cove and Wedge Island.
