As a bloke who has never sailed I need some advice and figure asking people here would be of help.

I have just been given a Laser hull by a mate. It is a good hull with rudder and other hardware in place (cleats, ratchet block etc.) It has no mast, sail, keel.

I'm a Blokart sailor but have never sailed on water.

Would this be a good boat to learn on and is it worth doing up?

Cheers

A laser is probably as good as any as a boat to learn on. However you are probably better off to give that one away to someone else to store and buy a cheap but complete and ready to sail boat. You might be able to pick up a complete second hand Radial rig if you are a small person or complete full rig if above about 75kg. However these may set you back by almost as much as the cheap but complete boat.
