Hi just bought a mirror dinghy just wondering where is a good place to launch it? Around Melbourne! I know the williamstown sailing club race mirrors but you need to be a member to use the ramp etc will def join soon but in the mean time any good quiet spots?
Cheers!

There is sailing in albert park. Have you sailed before? I ask this as it would be preffered to learn sailing in shallow controlled waters with less traffic if you are a first time sailor. If you are a first time sailor I would be happy to show you some stuff.

First time at a mirror I sail every Wednesday night during summer on a big boat! But always wanted a mirror so I just got one lol! You sail mirrors? I might try Albert park I just looked on the website I think you need a permit?

I've never heard of a permit to sail?! What part of the bank to launch from I'm not sure. You will need a life jacket.

I have sailed a mirror, but spent more time on the puffin pacers.

I'd risk it. Otherwise you could probably launch from black rock? I'm really not sure where would be best. Parking is expensive on the east side of the bay, maybe altona? But for a first timer I'd recomend shallow water where you can't be swept out to sea.
