I am still tossing up whether to go to Lord Howe for the annual BBQ on Ned's Beach next November.
However, late last year I thought that I might want to go again so I should book a mooring just in case. I got my mooring approval back this morning and I have been given a mooring in North Passage in a great location. The 5 North Passage moorings (only 3 my draft can go on) are the pick of the lot in the lagoon.
DrRog tells me he can't go this year due to other commitments. A pity, he is an excellent sailor and and crew mate.
Havefun might be up for it having missed last year.
I might need to scout around for crew again. If interested let me know.
You might like to look at the video Rog made of last year before answering. It is a two week commitment and a tough 4 days there and back if the last 3 years are typical. There is also a need to do a shakedown sail or two before the trip.

Hi Morning Bird l would be interested if you are looking for crew. How long would you expect to be away?

2 week commitment as stated in his post. Trips only 4 days each way but you gotta allow for sightseeing, weather windows and unfavourable weather.

The BBQ will probably be on 21 Nov, maybe the 14th. Depart on Tuesday before the BBQ, preferably early in the day so prepare on the Monday. Depart the island on the Wednesday after the BBQ, weather permitting.
If interested PM me and we can have a chat.

That was a really well put together and interesting video. I don't often watch videos that long, but i watched this one front to end.
Props to Dr Rog, well done.
