Hi All, Here in WA and managed to pick up a set of basically brand new sails.. Problem being that to make the main sail fit to my Boat (23ft Van Der Stadt) i need to have the sails slightly modified (Cut down) About 100mm cut off the Luff Dimension and 50mm cut off the foot Dimension.Is this possible? Or Im assuming it depends on the sail type etc...Cheers

What about the backstay? The trailing edge of the main almost hits the backstay as it is

I would convert it to loose foot.

Hi, it is pasible that cutting 100mm of the luff along the foot will at the same time reduce foot lenght (more or less). Did this before, and reinforcing pieces were reused (not all of them but). All The Best. Manitulak.
