I was listening to Rod Quinn (ABC regional radio) a few nights ago; maybe last Wednesday. He was talking in glowing terms of a movie about a solo sailors' circumnavigation of the planet. I think the movie name was "Blue <something>" (might be wrong on this).
Can anyone help me with the actual title? It would be appreciated!
Hi Bristol,
You are probably referring to the 2006 movie 'Deep Water' which tells the tale of Donald Crowhurst. To quote the web review at IMDB.com: "Deep Water starts in 1967. Francis Chichester has just circumnavigated the globe on his own, but with a brief stop in Sydney. The Sunday Times announces a competition for sailing single-handedly around the world non-stop. Crowhurst enters....etc" The tragic story is well written in two books: 'A Voyage for Madmen' and 'The Strange Last Voyage of Donald Crowhurst'. I haven't seen the movie but I can recommend 'A Voyage for Madmen'.

Thanks, Gravy7. I am sure that is the title he mentioned.
I will try to hire it, and maybe post a review.![]()
