Hi
does any one know any particulars about these yachts?
was just about to buy a nice Carter 33 passage but realised the standing rigging was already 10 years old.
thanks in advance ![]()
There is a really big difference between these two vessels. How can you be sure the Mutiny's rigging is not the same age? The Carter hull design is from the IOR period and is a 3/4 tonner. The centre cockpit is just the cruising version of the 3/4 tonner. Nice boats but probably at the larger size I would consider. The Mutiny was built as a club cruiser/racer and sold as a kit or fully built production boat. Like most Cole designed boats they are pretty good but not always fast[in the smaller sized production boats]. I would prefer a Nantucket or an East Coat 31 personally. Out of the two choices I would take the Carter 33 but in the rear cockpit version, but that's just me. Carter 33's were very successful racers world wide. I would not let the rigging age worry me too much.
Enter a few details in your bio, might find a lister close by.
the Carters are a great boat but if it is the carter passage up for sale at Balmain (DBY sales) then there is more issues than just the rigging age.
I have a survey report on that if you would like to see.
Hi keith
yes if you could send the survey through that would be much appreciated. Just email me thx
