I have a Guideau Windlass on my 1992 Beneteau. The first time I attempted to use it, the chain kept wrapping arround the gypsy. I subsequently discovered, my windlass is missing its chain stripper. I have contacted the manufacturer in France only to be told they no longer have parts for my windlass.
I'm hoping I can have something fabricated to keep it working.
Any help or advise with this is greatly appreciated.

Regards
Rob Harrison

Maybe try Lewmar as Guindeau made most of their winches and while Guindeau may no longer carry the spares, it might be that Lewmar does.
Failing that copy one on another boat, should be plenty of Bennies fitted with the same winch and then have it laser cut in 6mm stainless.

I have a cougar winch and manufactured one up myself
It works really well and have used it daily for two years
