Have been lurking in the background for some time, and I think it's time to introduce myself. I'm Berny and my intention is to be sailing with the Gosford SC this year, and doing some serious investigating of the Brisbane waters, Pittwater and The Hawksbury R system. I'm in the process of restoring a Cole 19 and am close to having it ready for the launch in the next month or two.

I'm hoping to learn some helpful info here, and contribute to interesting discussions where applicable.

Welcome Berny. If you are looking for some helpful info, than you have come to the right place. Any technical information you may want on restoration, search nearly any post from HG02. There is also a member here restoring a Redwitch that will in time have plenty of good information.

As for sailing info... There are a lot of people on this site whom have learnt to sail (not assuming your a newbie to sailing) by asking many of the right questions here.

It is not a bad place to be when you have the spare time.......... Or don't have the time but cant be @rsed doing whatever it is your meant to be doing

If you're racing watch out for the mud bar just north of the Marine Rescue base.

After racing on Brisbane Water for years it was often a tactical advantage knowing about it when the others didn't. Its surprising how mud can bring a fast competitor to a dead stop :-)
