There are a couple of them here in Bundaberg. I think the one I used to own can be bought for $8500.
That one in Perth looks to be a tad overloaded and it has the cut away at the back of the cockpit into the cabin.
Mine just had the sliding hatch with no cut away. A whole lot safer.
When they were first released the price was $10,000. I wonder what justifies the $14,000 price tag on this one????
How does the Windrush stack up against a J24? Just curious. I read the previous thread on the windrush and followed that up on a google search. So anyone with experience on both?

The J24 is not a trailer sailer. They need to be sailed by a crew where as the Windrush I'm sure could be singlehanded. I have sailed neither. The J24's were all built here at Nowra on the South coast when Bashfords were building all those yachts. Allegedly the one used to win all the titles was built much lighter.

Scuse me while I have a quiet snigger to myself, before Bashford built the J24 they were built by Capt'n Kanga also here in Nowra and I recall building one so light it nearly floated out of the mould. I had worked the glass wet into wet thereby achieving a very high glass to resin ratio. Unfortunately it can't be done to every boat as it takes man hours to work like hell before the resin goes off.
J24 would be alot faster that a widlfire. In fact we used to regularly beat Wildfires in a Spacesailor 20 (Fixed Keel)and Sorcerers/MB21s would outpace them all the time.
I think they were generally undercanvassed for their length. Great idea as a daysailer though as they had heaps if deck space and were well constructed.
Maybe they would be great pimped with a Large Assymetric....
There are two Sorcerers for sail in WA at the moment. Buy them both and still have change out of that 14 grand for a cruise ship holiday for two for 10 days!

Wildfire would walk all over the the SS20, MB21, Sorcerers.
The fixed keel J24 would be faster up wind, but the Wildfire is faster off the breeze.
I have sailed on all these boats and own a Wildfire and also previously a SS20.
Agree that a wildire with Assy would be great.
A Wildfire off the wind with the dagger board up will plane in a fresh enough breeze and there will hardly be a similar length yacht that will catch it.
Hard on the breeze they can carry a full main and jib without having to reef in 25 knots + by squeezing up in the gusts.
I know because I had to do it one day a while ago.
The Wildfire design is (not was) 20 years ahead of it's time and I am sure Joe Adams would thoroughly approve it.
