Is it necessary to tip off undercoats or can they just be applied by roller and then a final light sand before the topcoats?
I am preparing to paint a ply/dynel Spencer 44 using international Brightside.
i was an aprentice ship right for 10months at noakes in at newwy .. after wet rubbing once and wanting for it to dry we would wack 2 coats on straight away .. 30-60mins waiting time between coats
I've used Brightside on steel superstructure but never on GRP or timber. On the steel, we brush the coats on with no tipping. No rollers (never get 'em in around everything). We normally put on 2 coats and don't bother with undercoat. It comes up nice and flat - no brush marks. You could no doubt get a bit better result via roller or spray but it's pretty good as we apply it.
