It's on again, first time in many years, one of the most dreadful races in the country!

But it's the 100th anniversary of the ANZACs so lets put on a good show

340nm Cat 2, get smashed in the southern ocean, starts 11am tomorrow

Watch it live on the trackers: yb.tl/rpycfa2015

More info on the race here www.rpyc.com.au/2015-fremantle-to-albany-race and here http://www.sailalbany.com.au/

The S&S 34 "Blondie" leading on handicap at the moment. No doubt the headwind conditions have suited.

Blondie is owned by Dr Simon Torvaldsen, President of the S&S34 Association. A top bloke who is serious about his racing. He built a new S&S34 about 7 years ago. I had a look at it being fitted out at Swarbricks in 2007. He was doing a brilliant job (and paying for it).

Hey Guys, thx for the commentary! We finished late Sunday night. We were looking good for the first day or so, but a few big park ups on Sunday stuffed us. In the nose all the way, pretty rough each night.
We did beat most of the big boys on IRC!!! ??

We have done vids & photos on our Facebook page, see link above.

Back on dry land. Start was the worst ever. No wind, no steerage,no control, right in front of the big crowd

Great breeze once we got into King George Sound, and good kite run across the bottom & around the corner. It was a bash the final day into a strong easterly to get back into Freo, topped out in the high 20's. Very glad we did it, and what a superb few days of R&R in the Great Southern!
