Hi all, My boat is on a mooring in Five Dock Bay, Sydney. my question is..... The princess isn't keen on jumping into the dingy and rowing out to the boat (thats me rowing of course) and would much prefer it, if i could get to the boat , get it all sorted, sun shade up, wine in the chiller Etc Etc then motor to a jetty, so she can simply step aboard and off we go, now the question ...is there anywhere that a yacht can briefly call into, to pick up passengers, Does these new rules for marina allow the pick up and drop off of passengers ??? Any suggestions, short of replacing the princess, would be greatly appreciated. Hope you all have a fantastic and safe Christmas..Chris

I'm in five dock also. A nice easy little floating jetty is next to Dawn Fraser pool in Balmain. Pretty sure you can use any of the ferry wharfs when th ferries aren't using them - is that right?

It would appear you are correct DrRog, I found this on RMS site

The following table is provided as a guide to public toilets around Sydney Harbour that are located within a short walking distance of suitable landing points such as public wharves and sandy beaches. This guide would be useful for boat owners who do not have a holding tank. Most of the wharves listed are used by commercial ferries, so please keep a lookout for approaching ferries and be prepared to move away if necessary to allow them to berth.

From this link ..... www.rms.nsw.gov.au/maritime/index.html ....... listing the toilets and their associated wharves, I would imagine that passenger pickup would satisfy the requirements of what I have put in bold text. Possibly wouldn't hurt to give RMS a call and clarify.
