Hi,

we visited Pittwater / Cowan Creek during January and really enjoyed it. In particular the anchorages in Cowan Creek, surrounded by the national park. The only problem was the crowding, but this was no great surprise at that time of the year. We are planning on another visit late September / early October, but again would need to be there during the school holidays. Can any of the locals comment as to the likely number of boats overnighting in Cowan Creek at that time of year?

thanks

Hi tere, it is usually not bad at all. Obviously the public moorings are very popular but in Sept it should be fine. We spend some holidays there, with our kids on board. I agree totally, it is a beautiful part of Pittwater.
Enjoy.

Best time to go anywhere boating is through the week and avoid school holidays!

Castle Lagoon is my favourite. Sun sets over the water and bush, no wake.

That is a magic spot, we bought our boat after we stayed there on a hire boat.
Actually we were there in October, not too many people around.

we spent about 10 days around there, pittwater central coast...there def wee some boats around but I didn't find it too bad . Can always find a spot even if you have to anchor. Sme places are car parks for sure. To be avoided!
its a stunning place though...love it.
