iPad navionics! I don't even bother to much with my raymarines just a expensive back up.

I can't comment on the C95 but I've been very impressed with the e7D.
While a tablet or smart phone running the Navionics app is a nice backup, IMO, there is no substitute for a dedicated chart plotter. You can also combine all data sources into one display, e.g., wind, fuel level, etc., as well as integrate with other devices such sounder, AIS, autopilot, etc., none of which is easy or even possible with just an app.

For what it is worth i purchased a B&G package and with only 2 trips using it so far i am extremely happy with what it is doing so far.
It is a bit more expensive than raymarine but the spare parts will be easier to come by in the future.
The instruments I bought at the boat show have all been great
However after using them I have come to the realisation that the E7d can basically cover all of the functions and
Instead of the 2x i50 and 2x i60 displays I could have got 2 x i 70 plus the E7d
Which also means that B andG instruments become more competitive in price with their multifunction displays
Final conclusion if you want lots of functionality at the best price all you need is an E7d
The e7d came with a transom mounted depth/fish finder and speed log. I Ditched them and purchased seperate speed and depth which was another expense

you may like to consider whether you really need a hole in your hull for a depth instrument
my depth sensorAirmar/raymarine,just sits on a gob of silicone and works fine thru the hul

I guess I meant speed sensor . do you need one? I have an old depth sensor which will be removed and sent to" Ramona" one who collects old instruments for the antiquities .
I have one more bolt to remove before that can be removed its a cylinder glassed into the hull with a fiberglass cap that bolts to the flanges on cylinder.
Are speed and temp sensor necessary ? There was a housing fitted into the hull I gave Dr Rog the paddle wheel speed sensor unit out of the hull through mounting and have removed the unit so it can be either replaced or glass the hole up
So I can fit a depth sensor ok in this housing but I had a paddle wheel unit in another hull through . This I either glass up or buy a speed and temp unit for
Get rid if that HG and glass it up.
I don't see a need for a speed sensor if you have GPS speed over ground and no need for a through hull depth.

Bronze hose tails these days you don't know what your buying. That's what worries me

Gps does the job,though I have a paddle wheel too
a pain,as has to be removed of clogs up,and that means saltwater in the bilge

The boat speed log is very useful for passages to determine currents. To me it is the temperature sensor that I use more. It indicates exactly when you are in the currents.

That's what I wanted the temp sensor for its been bother me for ages for up and down the east coast for a endless summer

I my humble opinion having had Raymarine C120 I think it is for several years I think its overpriced and overcomplicated, don't like it.
LOVE LOVE LOVE isailor ipad app. Its the best,, forget Navionics with no course up mode.
isailor kills them all for fantastic charts very well priced, very clear, very accurate, the depth contours are so accurate in shallow areas up the east coast that we actually have bets on sounder changing on the contour line as we cross them, its rarely wrong.
I believe that the charts that isailor use are their own as they supply the shipping industry with massive ship systems.
Do yourself a favour and please look at isailor for ipad or android.
I have honestly tried them all isailor is the business.

Navionics seems ok to me for the price !! What was it 40 $ or so . ..... how much is this isailor you speak of ??
