Hello all,
I have read the forums regarding the red witch trailers, and I am having the same problem. I have just bought a red witch as our first little family yacht, really just for fun. However I doesn't have a trailer and I would love to either build one or as previous forums have stated modify an old one. My question is where do I start I have already made every effort to get in contact with the red witch association and have found them unresponsive, and honestly any information and dimensions on the boats hull unobtainable. There are photos of red witches on trailers on the net but I can't find any information on measurements or preferred design. Please if anyone could help it would be most helpful.
Thank you everyone.... James

HI james,
There is a big fleet of Red Witches at South of perth yacht club in WA. Many are sitting on trailers / jinkers. If you phoned or emailed the club to get the name of the RW division chairman, then you will probably be able to get some good info.
Good luck. Ashley

Alternatively you could try www.trailersailerplace.com.au/ There are quite a few YC's in WA sailing them, so you should be able to get some info from them

Hi there I recon modifying an old trailer would not be as hard as you may think. the key being that I am pretty sure all the weight should be supported By the keel so if only for short trips gett a big enough trailer for weight put on wooden skid for keel and some type of screw props for stability good luck!
Disclaimer : I am in no way a trailer professional or even all that skilled.
