Serious amount of reduced propulsion in yacht when motoring. Motor sounds like it is running as normal, pumping water, drive shaft turning forward/reverse etc. Struggled to get enough speed to keep my nose in the wind.

Any ideas?

I havn't had a chance to duck dive and inspect the prop. Could barnicle growth cause such a reduction?

Hell yes. I have a folding prop and a couple of barnacles is enough to cause the same symptoms.

Well I might have to slip into a pair of speedos and show my sexy body off to the local mariners of Williamstown.
