Alby was a different kettle of fish to the Leyland brothers.
He was a larrikin and true adventurer. I saw both his movies and I used his interview with Playboy magazine as the subject in a sales motivation meeting.
As for that catamaran, five dunnies is a bit extreme. 
Absolutely loved Alby Mangels, last I heard of him he was in Sth Aust on some horse farm. He was my hero growing up, I wanted to be him, just take off with two dollars in my pocket and end up in the gutter with about the same...Lol! But what adventures he had and places he went :). Who could forget him meeting Judy Green (I think her name was... 
..ha!) and the Clara Belle.... 
Judy green will never forget him either !!! after she was nearly killed when he rolled the car with her in it !!!
I know, I know, she probably wanted to run but the semi coma and crutches were preventing her
