Hi there
does anyone know if there is a technique or product available to remove the remains of barnacles after one has scraped them off.

I left the dink in the water a bit too long and, well, we know what happens. All scraped off but now she looks like a humpback whale with all the marks left behind.

Oh, by the way, the dinghy is inflatable.

Thanks
Trace

I would try a little bleach and water with a scouring pad. Make sure you wear gloves :)

I think the remnants is basically calcium. Whatever softens calcium and a wooden scraper.

Hey the fish kissers back, you could try CLR and maybe a light cutting compound.

Excellent trip, maybe a bit long. Hawaii is still good, Tahiti is a bit of a dump.

Mix 2 cups of vinegar, 1/4 cup of salt, a dash of anti bacterial dishwashing detergent with 2 cups of water. Use a very soft bristled scrubbing brush. Work in small sections at a time and rinse well.
Not saying to add this......... but if it were me, I would also add 3 drops of pure tea tree oil as well... up to you if you do. :>)

Thanks all

will try your suggestions and let you know how it goes.

Sandwitch...is that you, my dear sister??

Ramona, hush your mouth about Tahiti!!!!!! I would return (and stay) there at the drop of a hat. The thought of dropping out and living a simple lifestyle....complete with a sexy Polynesian warrior type appeals no end

Hi Disralei, yes, I'm back....no fish kissing lately....no kissing of any description. Far too busy being responsible 'getting ahead' hhhhmmmmmpppppphhhhh.

Cheers
Trace
