Hey, what are these like? I got an offer to pick one up in good nick for less than a grand, new sails, hull in good cond.

Are they alright for somebody who has only sailed Optimists, Seabirds and Happy Cats?

It looks kinda racy with its foot straps and **, will this thing kisk my ass or is it ok to upskill a relative noob?

Cheers

They are an old (40 yrs?) design, easy to sail, would have to be very good cond for anything over $500.

Scored a newly build (last 15 years) fibreglass version for $900. Comes ready to sail, some original sails (a main sail and jib) and a race set (nearly brand new). Also comes with a warranted and registered trailer. Took it out yesterday, had a blast! Found a bloke to help me rig it and then went out with the missus. Big smiles all round.

Looking forward to many adventures in it!
